THE STORY BEHIND NUEVE

The tequila that started in an apartment… and decided to take over Europe.

A tiny apartment with more ideas than square meters.

A Mexican. A German. A tequila that was smooth, clean, and full of character.

And an address we’ll never forget: Tequila 9.

No shortcuts. No additives. No clichés.

Just 100% agave tequila that competes with the best — not with the rest.

And let’s be honest: it had to look as good as it tasted.

We learned that evolution doesn’t mean letting go — it means sharpening.

That’s how Tequila 9 was born.

TEQUI TONIC

INGREDIENTS

- Tequila 9 Blanco (5 cl)

- Thomas Henry Botanical Tonic (20 cl)

- Lime juice (1 cl)

- Cucumber & Lemon (1 piece)

PREPARATION

Put the ice cubes in a glass of water or red wine and cool the glass with the help of a bar spoon. After cooling, remove the excess water. Then add the Tequila 9 Blanco.

Add the Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic Water, as slowly as possible and close to the glass to avoid bursting the gas bubbles.

For the garnish, use a cucumber peeler to cut strips of cucumber and tuck one or two into the glass. Using a knife, remove a piece of the lemon and put it in the glass, then using a peeler, remove a strip of the peel from the lemon. This strip serves to flavor the glass.

PURPOSE BEYOND FLAVOR

At Tequila 9, we believe Mexico’s true wealth lies in its people — in their hands, their hearts, and their sense of community.
That’s why every year, we proudly support a program in Mexico dedicated to fighting child malnutrition.

Just as we nurture every agave with patience and respect, we also believe in nurturing those who represent tomorrow: the children of Mexico.

Thanks to you, and every bottle you choose to enjoy, we’re able to continue supporting this cause year after year.
Each sip of Tequila 9 carries a drop of that commitment — a reminder that the true taste of Mexico is born from generosity, community, and love.

NUEVE9 – Production Process

Traditional cooking:

Mature Blue Weber agaves are slowly roasted in masonry ovens for over 48 hours. This process caramelizes their juices and develops, rich flavors before resting to begin their true journey.

Natural fermentation:

The extracted juices ferment naturally in open-air tanks. Guided by time and native yeasts, this slow transformation unlocks authentic aromas and preserves the pure essence of agave.

Double distillation:

Distilled twice in copper stills, the spirit is refined and purified, preserving only the heart of the tequila. The result is a spirit of sublime purity, enjoyed as Blanco or aged further.

Aging in oak:

Resting in American oak barrels, our Añejo absorbs subtle notes of vanilla, caramel, and spice. Time and wood merge with agave to create a tequila of depth and harmony.

Cristalino innovation:

A portion of our aged tequila undergoes a special filtration that removes color while keeping its complexity. The result is a crystal-clear tequila with the elegance of an añejo and the smoothness that defines Tequila 9.
